Chicago Area Geographic Information Study
This research and service unit specializes in small-area data reporting, mapping, and analysis, with an emphasis on socioeconomic data for the Chicago area and the state of Illinois. It is a depository for information from the U.S. Census Bureau, primarily the 1970, 1980, and 1990 censuses of population and housing, which include information for areas as small as a city block. Statistical maps, profiles, and reports, in addition to analysis of these and other data, and vital statistics for Illinois are available.
