Center for Literacy

This research and community service center is designed to enhance literacy education in the Chicago area. Through its research and contractual agreements and its model programs, including Project FLAME, Project FAST, and Probation Partnerships with the Chicago Public Schools, the center increases the availability of literacy services and enhances the quality of existing services. It also helps faculty members obtain funding and establish literacy-related projects.
