Public Service Activities


Master Gardener Program

The Illinois Master Gardener Program trains Illinois residents through classes in soils, botany, insects, annual and perennial flowers, plant disease, landscaping, turf grasses, vegetable growing, and fruit raising. There is a nominal charge for training, varying among Extension units; in addition, 60 hours of related volunteer service are required within a two-year period.
