Avi Friedman Lecture: The Next Home: Affordable
Housing for Changing Times

Avi Friedman, Director of the Affordable Homes Program at McGill University,
Montreal, Canada was invited to present the first lecture of the City
Design Centers Affordable Housing Program. The lecture was sponsored
by the City Design Center, the School of Architecture and the Urban Planning
and Policy Program. Avi Friedman is an internationally recognized, award-winning
theoretician and practitioner of affordable and sustainable housing. Housing
prototypes developed by Avi Friedman, such as the GROW HOME and the NEXT
HOME have received critical acclaim; thousands of units have been built
in communities across North America.
