The City Design Center co-sponsored the one day 6th annual Illinois
statewide housing conference, “Devolution/Revolution – Can We
Really Do Without Subsidized Housing,” focusing on ‘Welfare
Reform’ and Illinois housing issues. Keynote addresses were given
by Salvatore Ferrara, President of the Metropolitan Housing Development
Corporation, Helen Dunlap, Executive President of the National Low Income
Housing Coalition, and the Honorable Jesse Jackson, Jr, U.S. Representative.
