Accurate and usable information is an integral part of effective community
development, design, and planning processes. Unfortunately, because of
limited resources and the intense demands of these processes, community
organizations often are drawn into projects without adequate information
about the physical assets of their neighborhoods. City Design Center faculty,
staff, and students work with organizations to facilitate initial development
decisions by building a strong base of information about a neighborhood’s
present and potential community design assets.
