  1. Glass sliding doors generally have higher thresholds. Bevels can be added to allow easier w/c access between Den and exit, as well as from deck level into home. Weight of door may also be a problem.
  2. Deck surface is fairly level. When deck level changes between house and pool ramp is gently sloped and handrail is available for additional support. Anti-slip treads would benefit w/c traction.
  3. Pool box serves as transfer and pool entry point. Height and stability of box enables a 1 man transfer from w/c into pool rather than a lift system
  4. Pool supports limit access to backyard. Access could be gained by installing a 32" wide path next to garage. A gate with suitable handles wold also be required
  5. Path to yard should be level, a minimum of 32" wide and landscaped so that there is no dropoff between path and ground surface.
  6. Gate should be installed with large handles which require little force to open.
  7. Railing offers excellent edge protection against accidental dropoffs.
