Mandatory Accounting Advising Week
Monday -October 22 through Friday - October 26, 2012.
The Illinois law dealing with the educational requirements for the CPA exam is changing from July 1, 2013. Consequently the UIC BS Accounting program requirements are also changing. See http://uicaccounting.org/CPA/ for details.
About the Department of Accounting
The department of accounting offers high quality educational programs that prepare students for successful careers in the public and private sector. Specific courses are designed to provide conceptual and technical knowledge with practical applications. Conceptual and applied coursework covers the various areas associated with the discipline (financial, managerial, governmental and non-profit, international accounting, auditing, information systems, taxation and business law). Graduates of the accounting program will be prepared to sit for the certification examinations for the CPA, CMA and similar designations.
