Sign in begins half hour before exam starts. Late arrivals will not be accepted.
Please bring a Picture student ID and a copy of your Financial and Managerial grades.
This will be the last date to sit for the AQE until January 2009. Please Check the website in November 2009 for the exact date.

To major in accounting and get permission to register for Actg 315, all students must
receive "B" average in Actg 110/210 and Actg 111/211, with both courses taken at UIC [or]
B in Actg 110/210 at UIC and
C in Actg 111/211 or equivalent and pass the Managerial Accounting section of AQE [or]
C in Actg 110/210 or equivalent and pass the Financial Accounting section of AQE and B in Actg 111/211 at UIC
C in Actg 110/210 or equivalent and pass the Financial Accounting section of AQE and C in Actg 111/211 or equivalent and pass the Managerial Accounting section of AQE.
Transfer Students:
If you have taken the equivalent of Actg 110/210 and/or 111/211 elsewhere, you must pass the AQE, unless you will be retaking Actg 110/210 and Actg 111 at UIC. If you do not want to take the AQE and you have already taken Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting at another college and received "C" or better in each course, you may petition to take Actg 110 and Actg 111 courses during the same semester here at UIC. To petition, come to the accounting department, 2305 University Hall, and bring a copy of your transcripts. Originals are not required.
Students not in the College of Business Administratrion and who wish to take accounting classes, must petition the accounting department .
Conditions to sit for the exam and exam policies:
Students must be admitted to UIC, College of Business Administration prior to taking AQE.
A grade of " C" or higher must be achieved in Actg 110/210 and Actg 111/211 or its equivalents.
Students must pass both sections (Financial and Managerial) of the AQE . If you fail either the Financial or Managerial section you have to retake only the section that you failed.
Students who do not pass the AQE or who do not receive an acceptable grade in the corresponding courses will not be allowed enrollment in Accounting 315.
Each part of the exam may be taken a maximum of two times during your academic career in order to achieve a passing score. If a passing score is not achieved after the second attempt, an alternative major must be identified since admittance into the accounting major will be denied.
Students must bring a photo ID and copy of Actg 110/210 and/or Actg 111/211 (or equivalent) grade(s) to the exam.
Basic function calculators may be used. Printing and alpha programmable computer calculators and laptop computers may not be used. All phones must be off.
