Business Advisory Council

The members of the Business Advisory Council of the College of Business Administration are charged with serving as an advisory group to the dean and staff of the College of Business Administration. The public will look to the members to assure the integrity of the College of Business Administration is fulfilled in its external and internal fiscal, legal and policy matters. Members must create confidence and public trust in the College of Business Administration from which both private and public financial support flows.

As a member of the Business Advisory Council, responsibilities can be characterized into seven general categories:

  • Leadership in policymaking and strategic planning in all areas of the College of Business Administration.
  • External networking for the College of Business Administration in the areas of placement and recruitment of graduates and students.
  • Leadership and participation in the identification, cultivation and solicitation of private and public funding sources, which will benefit the College of Business Administration.
  • Assistance with the development and marketing of the College of Business Administration.
  • Review the performance of the College of Business Administration in meeting its goals.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the College of Business Administration by talking about and promoting it in every way possible.
  • Ensure communication and collaboration with the Board of Trustees, the alumni, the university administration and community.
