Student activities are an important part of life and education in the IDS programs. Through our faculty involvement, activities through the Center for Research in Information Management, and our Capstone MIS courses, we promote internships, career awareness and networking with the vibrant Chicago area information technology community. Please visit our student sponsored and managed Web sites for events and activities of our students. |
MIS Graduate Student Activities (INFORMS) INFORMS UIC Student Chapter provides an extension of our national chapter mission by enabling a supportive network of fellow students and concerned faculty. It is INFORMS' goal to help students learn more about their field and also to prepare them for their careers. The organization offers weekly meetings with cooperate speakers discussing the current trends in our diverse field and career opportunities offered at their companies. These meetings provide an opportunity to get information, while ultimately allowing students to network with possible future employers. If you are an employer and would like to organise an information session about your company or participate in the MIS/IDS career fairs, please e-mail informs.uic@gmail.com Students interested in joining INFORMS or who have any queries can also direct their queries to the same email address. We always answer all queries in a short period of time. Thank you. . |
