- Grace Lemmon and Smriti Anand, doctoral candidates in human resource management, have both been selected to receive one of the Society for Human Resource Management Foundation Dissertation grant awards.
This is a highly competitive award, which is based on the quality of the dissertation research and its potential to make a significant impact on the field of human resource management.
The honor includes a $5,000 award.

Stefanie Lenway, dean of the CBA, and Al Page, head of managerial studies, were quoted in a Chicago Tribune article on student talents and start-ups.
- Jasmine (Jia) Hu, PhD candidate in human resource management, was selected as a 2010 Greenleaf Scholar by the Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership.
Her proposal is titled "A Team-Level Social Exchange Model of Servant Leadership and Team Effectiveness".
Her application was submitted under the guidance of Professor Bob Liden.
The Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership is a national institution offering resources and support to promote the understanding of servant leadership by individuals and organizations.
The Greenleaf Scholars Program was established to advance research on servant leadership.
