An essential component of the College of Business Administration (CBA) curriculum is coursework in managerial communications. Through research, analysis, informational interviews, presentations, and teamwork, students develop the writing and presentation skills required for effective business communication. They discover that projecting a professional image is crucial to how their messages will be received.
BA 200, Managerial Communication, is a course required of all CBA students. It is offered every semester and during the summer. Class size is generally fewer than 30 students, and evening and hybrid (classroom and online) sections are also available. In addition, we offer BA 300, Advanced Managerial Communication, and a business communication course for the MBA program.
For additional information about Managerial Communications coursework, please contact Professor Jie Wang at (312) 413-4433 or jiewang@uic.edu. Class registration inquiries should be directed to the Managerial Studies Department office, 2209 University Hall (phone: 312-996-2680).
