Corporate MBA Programs for International Managers

The University of Illinois at Chicago offers an accelerated Master of Business Administration degree for professionals in Asia who wish to further their careers by earning a degree from an AACSB-accredited program in the United States.

UIC was among the first in the U.S. to offer an intensive, 12-month program to carefully selected groups of managers in both the public and private sectors in Asia. Established in 1995, the Corporate MBA Programs Office, in collaboration with the U.S./Asia Executive Development Office, has recruited groups of students from Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei, several provinces in China including Jilin, Liaoning, Hebei, and Ningxia, as well as from other countries such as Korea and Thailand.

This prestigious program is well suited to young professionals and mid-level managers who have already begun their careers and find it difficult to be away from the workplace for more than one year. Students develop a full range of contemporary management skills and the cultural awareness to compete effectively in a global economy. A key advantage of the program is its flexibility in tailoring the MBA to the needs and interests of specific groups. See, for example, the customized curriculum of our Financial Markets & Risk Management and Banking Programs, in which students also benefit from UIC's close ties to major financial exchanges, located within walking distance from the campus.

The faculty members at UIC are practitioners and scholars, executives and teachers, researchers and consultants. They bring extensive business experience and knowledge into the classroom. Students in the accelerated MBA program have a unique opportunity to benefit from both corporate and academic expertise.

Questions about non-academic aspects of the program or new collaborative relationships may be referred to the U.S./Asia Executive Development Programs Office.
