The IDS department offers opportunities for the students to work on industry-related projects through their project courses. The students, with the guidance of our faculty, work on real-world problems, trying to provide technology / business solutions to industry.
In our continued efforts to strengthen university-industry partnerships, the IDS department and CRIM have arranged a special presentation session at UIC to showcase some of our best students and their MIS projects. Several executives, CIOs, and potential recruiters are invited for this session, where they can interact as well as get to know our best students.
Student project presentations are held twice a year at the CRIM Student Project Expo. The expos are held at the end of fall and spring semesters. They showcase the student projects in information management completed during that semester by undergraduate and graduate students. They provide excellent opportunities to recruit our best students and observe their capabilities.
The next Student Project Expo will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2008 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Cardinal Room of UIC's Student Center East, which is located at 750 South Halsted.
The next MIS Carrer fair will be held on Monday, October 27, 2008 in Room 302 of UIC's Student Center East, which is located at 750 South Halsted.
