Academic Programs

From PhD seminars to hands-on, practical learning, the Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies has opportunities for undergraduates, graduate students and working professionals. Follow the links below to find the program that best suits your needs, or view the entrepreneurship course list.

• Undergraduate: UIC offers a Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship degree or a concentration in entrepreneurship for business majors.


• Master's: UIC offers an MBA concentration in entrepreneurship through the Liautaud Graduate School of Business.


• Business Plan Competition: Students from any college at UIC can participate in the annual Concept 2 Venture business plan competition for $17,000 in cash prizes and even more in kind services.


• Doctoral: UIC is one of the first universities to offer a doctoral seminar class on entrepreneurship research. The Institute also hosts a monthly brown bag lunch meeting to discuss research topics in entrepreneurship.


• Certificate Program: The Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies sponsors a certificate program for business owners and managers.
