The entrepreneurial spirit in the Chicago region is alive and well. For the 25th year we are on a quest for the best entrepreneurs in Chicago's seven-county area. A panel of distinguished judges will make the selections. The Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame is sponsored by Grant Thornton, American Chartered Bank, Crain's Chicago Business, MarketM and the University of Illinois at Chicago.
We are now accepting nominations for the 25th annual Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame Awards. Induction will occur on February 25, 2010.
Induction into the Hall of Fame may be for past or present entrepreneurial achievements by a founder or founders, through acquisitions or in a family business. The company (or companies) may be privately held or have been taken public by the nominee. The company's principal office must be in one of the following counties: Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry or Will in Illinois; or Lake in Indiana. Special consideration will be given to founding a business, coping with past and/or present growth in sales, employment generation, innovation, customer and employee relations and/or contributions to an industry, the community and society. It is expected that a nominee`s business is profitable, and while not a formal requirement, it is rare that a successful nominee has revenues of under $5 million.
