The UIC Liautaud MSA program prepares highly qualified individuals for professional positions in public accounting firms, private industry, financial institutions, government and nonprofit organizations. Graduates of the program will be prepared for professional examinations such as the CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and the CMA (Certificate in Management Accounting) exams. An undergraduate degree in accounting is not required for admission to the MSA.
Integrating conceptual and technical knowledge with practical application, LGSB accounting courses prepare students for careers in financial, managerial, governmental/non-profit, and international accounting, as well as auditing, information systems, taxation and business law.
