Graduate Entrepreneurship Program Ranked in Top Ten
The College of Business Administration’s graduate entrepreneurship program has been ranked 10th in the nation by Entrepreneur magazine and the Princeton Review, up from 12th last year. The rankings were based upon a survey of 900 schools, which were evaluated based on key criteria in the areas of academics and requirements, students and faculty, and outside-the-classroom support and experiences. A total of 50 schools (25 undergraduate and 25 graduate), made the list, with several others receiving honorable mentions. The fifth annual rankings will appear in the November issue of Entrepreneur magazine on news stands October 23.
UIC was one of the first schools in the country to offer a concentration in entrepreneurship at the MBA level and a doctoral seminar class on entrepreneurship research. The university’s Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, and continues to offer students access to knowledge, resources and training oriented toward identifying business opportunities, evaluating potential markets, and planning for financial and organizational needs at different stages of growth.
