Department of Accounting

The department of accounting prepares students for careers in accounting, organizational control and analysis. The curriculum integrates conceptual and technical knowledge with practical application in areas including financial, managerial, governmental/non-profit, and international accounting, auditing, information systems, taxation and business law. Graduates of the CBA accounting program are prepared to sit for certification examinations for the CPA, CMA and similar designations. Department of Finance

The finance department is widely recognized for the quality of its programs and the success of its graduates. While giving finance majors a solid educational foundation on which to build future careers, the department has assumed a leadership role in the financial services industries centered in Chicago. Its research-oriented faculty is focused on the most innovative and fastest developing areas of finance, including risk management, insurance, derivatives, real estate, banking and global financial markets. Department of Information and Decision Sciences

The IDS department offers courses that emphasize management of the emerging technology needs of business. Courses are organized around three disciplines: (1) service operations and supply chain management; (2) enterprise information technology and technology project management; and (3) business analytics and data mining focused on the finance and marketing sectors. Our courses stress problem solving skills with a focus on developing students' abilities to frame, analyze and communicate, assuring a high demand for our graduates in the job market. Department of Managerial Studies

The department of managerial studies offers expertise in the areas of management, marketing and entrepreneurship. Faculty members teach and conduct research across a broad spectrum of topics related to management and marketing. Research interest includes entrepreneurship, human resource management, innovation, international marketing, leadership, organizational behavior, product development, transportation and logistics and strategic management.
