Taft Hall is located in the campus quad just west of the UIC Student Center East (SCE)*. The street address for SCE is

By Car:
From the North - Take the Kennedy Expressway (I-90/94E) to the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290W) westbound and keep to the
right; take the first exit from the Eisenhower Expressway, which is Morgan Street; then take Morgan Street south (left)
one block to the campus. Parking on East Campus
From the South - Take the Dan Ryan Expressway (I-90/94W) and exit on Roosevelt Road (1200 south); go west (left) on
Roosevelt Road to Halsted Street; then go north (right) on Halsted Street to the campus. Parking on East Campus
From the West - Take the (I-290E) Eisenhower Expressway to the Racine Avenue exit; then go south (right) to Harrison
Street and east (left) to the campus. Parking on East Campus
From the East - Take Harrison Street or Roosevelt Road; if you take Roosevelt Road, go west to Halsted Street and turn
north (right) to the campus. Parking on East Campus

Directions to South Campus
Classes held at 1333 S. Halsted or 1337 S. Halsted meet at the Office of External Education, located about
1.5 blocks south of Roosevelt on the southeast corner of Halsted & Maxwell. The entrance is approximately a 1/2 block
south of Maxwell on the east side of the street (across from Quizno's and Caribou Coffee). This is a secure building;
please follow instructions posted at the entry to gain access.
The classrooms are located on the 2nd floor in Suite 205 or on the 3rd floor in Suite 380. (Please enter Suite 380 from
1337 S. Halsted Street.)
By Car:
From the North - Take I-90/94E (here, the Kennedy Expressway). Exit at Roosevelt Road. Turn right
(west) onto Roosevelt Road. Turn left (south) onto Halsted Street. Continue south on Halsted Street to the intersection
with Maxwell Street. Parking on South Campus
From the South - Take I-90/94W (here, the Dan Ryan Expressway). Exit at Roosevelt Road. Turn left
(west) onto Roosevelt Road. Turn left (south) onto Halsted Street. Continue south on Halsted Street to the
intersection with Maxwell Street. Parking on South Campus
From the West - Take I-290E (the Eisenhower Expressway) to I-90/94E toward Indiana. Exit at Roosevelt
Road. Turn right (west) onto Roosevelt Road. Turn left (south) onto Halsted Street. Continue south on Halsted Street
to the intersection with Maxwell Street. Parking on South Campus
From the East - Take Roosevelt Road west to Halsted Street. Turn left (south) onto Halsted Street.
Continue south on Halsted Street to the intersection with Maxwell Street.

Parking on South Campus
- Meter parking on Halsted in front of the building - 25 cents/15 minutes, maximum 2 hours
- Meter-less parking - 2 blocks south of our building on Halsted (may be difficult to find spaces)
- University Marketplace Parking Garage- is located on Maxwell Street between Halsted and Union Streets.
Visitors must enter from Union Street (one-way street going south). The Maxwell Street entrance is reserved for key-card access.
