Economics Journals

The following academic journals are ranked as outstanding by the management industry. Publishing is a requirement of tenure. Learning to read and access the materials in the journal is essential to the degree and the profession. Potential applicants should begin to acquaint themselves with these journals prior to choosing a program. Accepted applicants will begin to read journals prior to the beginning of their first semester. After studies have begun, the PhD student will be required to study specific articles and learn to discuss their content. Eventually, the student will begin to work on research with a research active faculty and submit publications. Most business economics PhD students have published prior to finishing the degree.
