Academic Advising

CBA Undergraduate Programs provides academic advising regarding course selection and registration, transfer credit, academic probation and progress made toward your degree. It will be the student's responsibility to make certain that he/she is fulfilling the degree requirements. Therefore, the college strongly recommends that all continuing students meet with an advisor for a credit evaluation each semester.

How to schedule an appointment:

  • Call (312) 996-2700
  • Stop by 1118 University Hall

Required Advising
Students must see an advisor to address any of the issues listed below:

  • Each semester, IDS majors and juniors and seniors majoring in accounting are required to meet with a college advisor prior to meeting with an assigned faculty advisor in their major department.
  • Students on academic probation must meet with an advisor at least once each semester until the probationary status has been cleared.
  • All graduating seniors are required to meet with an advisor for a graduation check appointment no later than the semester in which they plan to graduate.
  • It is highly recommended that students complete a graduation check the semester before you plan to graduate.

Individual academic advising is by appointment. General questions can be answered by phone. We encourage students to use e-mail to contact advisors with quick questions. If there is an emergency situation, contact the director of academic services. We encourage students to see an advisor whenever they have a question about their academic programs.
