CBA Course Selection
CBA
students must complete course work in the areas of social sciences,
modern history and philosophy, literature, advanced quantitative skills,
and natural sciences. The options for satisfying these requirements
are indicated below. Please refer to Undergraduate Catalog 2003-2005
for course descriptions and required prerequisites.
Completing
one of the courses noted with a
may satisfy the UIC Cultural Diversity requirement. The same course
may also satisfy one of the "other general requirements" or a "non-business
elective".
Students pursuing the Concentration in International Business should
choose a social science or non-business elective from the courses noted
with a

Sections of Hon 107 (Interdisciplinary
Honors Core in the Humanities) and Hon 108 (Interdisciplinary Honors
Core in the Social Sciences) may be toward the general education requirements
(in the areas of social sciences, modern history and philosophy, and
literature) with approval by the CBA.

        Back to TopThis requirement may be satisfied by taking one of the following courses: Actg 495, Econ 495, Fin 495, IDS 495, or Mgmt 495. Note that all of these courses have the same prerequisites (senior standing and completion of all the other CBA core courses), and students may take the integrative course in any department, not necessarily in their major. No more than one 495 integrative course can be used towards the business degree and it cannot be used as course work in the major.
