Inter-College Transfer to the College of Business Administration

The CBA runs information sessions throughout the semester for students interested in transferring into the college. Click Here for more information.

Inter-College Transfer Guidelines:
The following guidelines list the minimum requirements to be considered for admission to the CBA. The college reserves the right to adjust admissions criteria based on space availability.

Requirements:

  • Minimum UIC GPA of 2.50 and a cumulative GPA (UIC and transfer) of 2.50.
  • Completion of Math 160 and 165 with minimum grades of C is recommended prior to submitting an application.

Instructions:

Note: You must be an official student admitted to the College of Business Administration to receive a degree from the CBA. Completion of the curriculum does not grant you automatic admission to the college, nor does it make you eligible for a business degree. You must meet the admission requirements and be officially accepted to the CBA before your business degree can be awarded by UIC.

Note: Admission will be based on your current records in the UIC student information system. Missing, Not Reported or Incomplete grades will cause a delay in the processing of your application. Not Reported grades (NR) must be removed and Incomplete grades (I) will be evaluated as failing grades. Grades for transfer credit listed as in progress(IP) must be completed before you will be considered for admission to CBA.

Note: The decision will be mailed to you. Processing your application may take six to eight weeks before you are notified of a decision. The process may be delayed further for a student who applies at the beginning or end of a semester.
