Accreditation and Rankings

The UIC College of Business Administration is a research-based institution located in the heart of Chicago that cultivates a spirit of entrepreneurship through real-world experience. The college is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business and offers both undergraduate and graduate academic programs.

Points of Pride

  • CBA's undergraduate program is the largest in the Chicago metropolitan area.

  • In September 2006, Entrepreneur magazine and The Princeton Review named UIC's undergraduate entrepreneurship program ninth in the nation.

  • U.S. News and World Report ranked several of the CBA's undergraduate programs in 2006 - entrepreneurship 17th, finance 22nd and accounting 28th.

  • Crain's Chicago Business ranked the Liautaud Graduate School of Business MBA program fourth in the city among programs accredited by the AACSB International.

  • CBA established the International Center for Futures and Derivatives through a gift from CME Trust.

  • CBA graduate accounting students received the highest pass rate for the 2006 CPA exam among Illinois business schools with graduate accounting programs. More than 52% of the CBA graduate students that took the exam passed all four parts

  • With 80 percent of CBA's graduates residing in the Chicago area, the college plays a significant role in the ongoing growth and development of the local business community.

  • CBA has the largest MBA program in the U.S. for managers from China.
