Undergraduate Student Profile

The following information is based upon Fall 2010 enrollment calculations.

  • The University of Illinois at Chicago’s (UIC) total undergraduate enrollment was 16,790.

  • The College of Business Administration (CBA) enrolled 2,229 undergraduate students, making the CBA the second largest college on campus admitting freshmen. The CBA’s student population is 57% male, 43% female, and boosts a diverse population of students from a multitude of ethnic backgrounds hailing from the local Chicago area, collar counties, and several international countries.

  • The College of Business Administration admits new freshmen once a year in the Fall semester only. New Transfers are admitted twice a year in the Fall and Spring semesters.

  • Admission into the College of Business Administration is competitive and enrollment is capped. Only approximately 40% of applicants to the College will be admitted.

  • Fall 2010 Admitted Student Profile

  • New Freshmen Avg ACT composite score (middle 50%)*: 22-26
  • New Freshmen Avg high school percentile rank (HSPR) (middle 50%)*: 64-89
  • New Transfer Avg transfer GPA: 3.32
  • New Transfer Avg transfer hours: 63 semester hours
  • * Since a holistic approach is in the admission process, having an ACT and HSPR in the admitted freshmen profile does not guarantee admission; however, please note these represent the middle 50% and are not the minimum requirements.

The Accounting and Finance majors continue to be the most popular majors for undergraduates in the College of Business Administration year after year.

    * The Economics majors listed in the above chart are continuing students. All new Economics majors must apply and enroll through the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences.
