Graduate Projects
In addition to the normal coursework graduate students will complete a project for one hour of credit in the area of AIS. Projects must be arranged with the instructor during the first two weeks of class and must be completed according to a schedule arranged with the instructor.
Project Topic: The graduate students analyze manual and computerized accounting systems to understand the differences and similarities between them. This is exceptionally important for an understanding of auditing, systems design and fraud investigations. In Actg 474 we perform both manual and computerized accounting, so the graduate project is a capstone that extends your understanding of the relationship between the two. This project is done as a team and the results are presented before the whole class at the end of the course during the presentation weeks. This project serves as both your presentation project and your graduate project.
