3D SECTIONS

Planar and non-planar sections of 3D models can be generated by the Generate Section command.

PROCEDURE

  1. Determine whether the section will be output to a new design file, the active design file or other design file.
  1. Tolerance sets the accuracy to which curves are approximated.
  2. Flatten Section creates a flat (2D) section of the 3D intersection.
  3. Interactive Positioning sets the section angle and scale the the active settings and allows you to move the section as soon as it is generated with the cursor.
  4. Assemble Segments creates complex chains or shapes out of adjacent model surfaces.
  5. The Symbology group box allows for setting the section symbology.
