Auxillary Coordinate Systems (ACS)
Procedure:
- Define ACS (make sure ACS Snap Lock and Depth Lock is off)
- Tools>Auxillary Coordinates
- Define by: Element, Points or View
- Rectangular (origin, x axis, y axis), Cylyndrical or Spherical
- Display ACS Triad (optional)
- Settings>View Attributes>ACS Triad
- Turn on ACS Plane Lock to model in the new coordinate system
- Settings>Locks>ACS Plane (or use locks icon at bottom of scrren)
- Save Active ACS if more than one is needed (optional)
- Utilities>Auxillary Coordinates
- Name the active ACS (hit enter then click Save button)
- Name appears in Saved ACS list
- Highlight the named ACS to Attach or Delete
- Select ACS to be Active if more than one (optional)
- Tools>Auxillary Coordinates>Select
- If there are several named ACS, their names and triad will appear in each view when selected
- Data Point the ACS Triad to be active
