Create 2 matrices of freeform thumbnail sketches. Use this assignment to explore unfamiliar MicroStation tools and their parameters (especially complex curved surfaces). While creating form, let the inherent properties of the medium come out. Take advantage of the things that the computer does well, such as repetition, precision and transformation. Ride the system rather than drive it. Have fun! Forms, shapes objects should not be created to show function or purpose but rather be interesting abstractions that might later call to mind purpose.
