PRINT/PLOT PROCEDURE (MicroStation SE)
This procedure describes how to print or plot your design files from MicroStation SE.
- Display your model in a view with appropriate rotation, dimensions, notes, etc.
- Put FENCE BLOCK around area you want plotted.
- Bring up PLOT DIALOG box (File > Print/Plot...).
- From the menu bar:
- set plot Entity to Fence (Entity>Fence)
- To print to the HP1200C make sure plot driver file is the system printer. At right side of tool bar it should say:
Plotter: c:\ustation\plotdrv\printer.plt
if not click on
Setup > Driver... > and find the above driver.
- Choose appropriate printer and page setting by clicking on Setup > Page...
- Make sure selected printer is HP DeskJet 1200C (MS) and set orientation to protrait or landscape. If your fence block is more horizontal than vertical choose landscape.
- Adjust page layout and scale by clicking on Setup > Layout. If you want your model plotted at a particular scale, adjust the "Scale to ___ ft.in/ IN." field. For example, assuming your using the Class2.dgn seed file, 0:2:0 would be 2 in. (model units) per 1 in. (paper units). Scale is initially based on fence block size. Scale factor can be increased (model unit made smaller relative to paper unit) but not decreased unless you first make the fence block smaller.
- Click on File > Preview to confirm plot display.
- Click on File > Plot to send plot to the printer.
