Using Saved Views
A Saved View is a view definition that is given a name and saved in the design file. Saved Views "remember" which levels are on and off, the area of the design that is displayed and the Display Depth. You create the definition by setting up a source view as a model and saving it. The Saved View can be recalled to a destination view window. The Saved Views settings box is used to name, save, recall, and delete saved views.
PROCEDURES:
To create a saved view
- Set up the source view so that the desired portion of the design is displayed and the view attributes are as desired.
- From the Utilities menu, choose Saved Views (Menu Utitlities Saved Views).
or
(Windows only) From any view window's control menu, choose View Save/Recall.
- In the Name field, key in a name for the view. The maximum number of characters in the name is six.
- (Optional) In the Description field, key in a description. The maximum number of characters in the description is 27.
- From the View option menu, choose the number of the source view.
- Click the Save button.
To recall a saved view
- Call up the Saved Views settings box.
- From the Dest View option menu, choose the number of the destination view.
- In the list box, select the saved view you want to recall.
- Click the Attach button.
To delete a saved view
- Call up the Saved Views settings box.
- In the list box, select the saved view you want to delete.
- Click the Delete button.
