VISIBLE EDGES FILE

You can create a visible edges design file -- a 2D or 3D design file that contains the edges visible in a 3D view (that is, with those edges that would be hidden, removed).

PROCEDURE

1. Open the Export Visible Edges dialog box. File Export Visible Edges...
2. Settings

• View - choose the View.
• Boundary - Design File (entire model file), View or Fence
• Rule Lines - ON shows rule lines
• Calculate Intersections - ON intersecting surfaces are shown
• Include Hidden Edges - ON show hidden edges with overrides

1. Store in Active Design

• ON to place the visible edges in the active design file
• OFF - to create a visible edges design file

1. File Dimension - to choose if the visible edges design file will be 2D or 3D.
2. Overrides can be set for both Visible Edges and Hidden Edges
3. Click the OK button - Visible Edges Design file is saved with the suffix *.hln.
