When I was in 3rd grade, I used to own a quilted skirt with tiny umbrellas all over it. I discovered that if I twirled it would go straight out. This was popular with the boys and they would oftentimes gather around me out in the hall and ask me to spin as fast as I could so they could see my underpants. As time went by, the wearing of the umbrella skirt to school almost meant that I had to perform for the boys this little ritual that I secretly felt really guilty about.
