Information on book collecting and collecting mysteries is probably available on the World Wide Web. Tom might be interested in book collecting FAQs, web sites devoted to collecting books and/or mysteries, or web sites with databases that hold information about the market value of first editions.

You may need help in deciding:

Which WWW search engines to use;
How to search the Web to gather information that could have value;
How to critically evaluate the content of the web sites that your searches uncover, since most web publications are not peer-reviewed.
