Action Potential Depolarization: The wave of depolarization caused by an action potential is shown graphically using animated ions and a voltmeter graph. Depolarization is shown to be a function of the voltage-gated channels for sodium and potassium. The sodium-potassium pump is credited for reestablishing the resting potential.
