Required Textbooks:

Biological Science

  • Title: Biological Science 2002
  • Author: Scott Freeman
  • Publisher: Prentice Hall Publishing Company
  • Note:  we are switching to Biological Science, 2nd edition, in the Fall.  However, all efforts will be made to make the Fall Semester compatible with the First edition.  So, what does this mean?  It means that you can buy either book - both are excellent.  The second edition is more current, but you can probably pick up the first edition for a fraction of the cost on ebay.

Customized Biology
Laboratory Manual, 1998

  • Title: Biology of Cells and Organisms
  • Author: M. Muller
  • Publisher: Hayden-McNeil
  • Title: A Photographic Atlas for the Biology Laboratory
  • Author: Van de Graaff & Crawley
  • Publisher: Morton Publishing
  • This book is optional, but if you plan on taking any more biology courses, I highly recommend this book.  It is awesome!
