For every organism, there is a range of environmental conditions that are necessary for reproduction.
- An organism may tolerate poor conditions temporarily via dormancy, or by storing resources and retreating to a sheltered microenviroment.
- An organism may migrate to more suitable habitat and return when conditions improve-i.e,migration.
