Necessary Preparation Step 1: Get contact with the Department for setting up a placement test. Please send Prof. Xuehua Xiang ( xxx103@uic.edu )an e-mail with the following information. The Department will contact you once the information is received. Information we need from YOU: Name: ______________ College: ____________ UIN: ______________ Your Chinese Learning Background: ________________________________________ _______________________________________ ________________________________________ Step 2: After you get feedback from the department and set up the possible placement test at your earliest convenience, take the placement test as best as you can. The placement test will allow the instructor to guide you through the one-year courses to your best interest. It will also allow the instructor to supplement extra, fun materials for your level, so that it may not be too hard or too boring to complete homework assignments.
Step 3: Once you finish the placement test and get the departmental approval, don't forget to register for CHIN 111, otherwise we won't' be able to see you in class:) |
