1999-2000 Catalog Description
3 Hours. Principles of statistical
quality control including control by variable and by attribute,
construction and use of control charts for variables, fraction
defectives and number of defects and use of standard plans,
reliability and life cycle testing.
Prerequisite: IE 342.

Grading
Homework 10%
2 Midterms 25% each

Collaboration on homework assignments is encouraged. You may
consult outside reference materials, other students, the
instructor, or anyone else. There is one restriction: you must
write, type, or otherwise record your answers yourself, alone, so
that your homework reflects your understanding.
No collaboration is allowed on any exams. Rules for reference
materials for exams to be announced.
No late homework or make-up exams without prior approval;
penalties may apply.
