The goal of this seminar is to help you use the computer as a tool to tap the ocean of free information available for the asking, and to communicate with other people. This will help you succeed in your studies at the university and afterwards.
Your attendence is required at each class session, but the seminar should be interesting and fun enough that you will want to come despite this requirement. Attendence will be a factor in the grade you receive in this course, which is either satisfatory or unsatisfactory (pass or fail). During the seminar you will explore the Web on a topic of your choice, and later report to the class on what you found.
