As you know, this is a 1-credit course that meets for the first 10 weeks of the semester. Attendance is mandatory, and any more than three unexcused absences will result in a one letter grade deduction for each additional absence. Other than being an active contributor to classroom discussion, your major responsibilities are to do the assigned reading, complete a short writing assignment, and to participate in a joint research project that will be developed during the course of the seminar.
