M. HILL HAMMOCK
M Hill Hammock is chief operating officer at ABN AMRO North America, Inc. and chief operating officer and chief credit officer of LaSalle Bank N.A. At LaSalle, he is responsible for commercial lending administration, including credit policy, loan operations, budgetary matters, credit training and the Bank's Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) programs. He is also a member of the Bank's Asset/Liability Committee and the LaSalle National Corporation Management Committee.
Mr. Hammock joined LaSalle Bank N.A. in 1975. Since joining the Bank, his responsibilities have included overseeing the Bank's Commercial, Real Estate and Correspondent Banking Divisions and the Financial Services Group.
Before joining LaSalle, Mr. Hammock was vice president and manager of Associates Capital Corporation and a real estate officer at Continental Illinois National Bank.
Currently, Mr. Hammock is Chairman of the Board and a trustee of the Chicago Historical Society. He is chairman of the Chicago Metropolitan Planning Council and a board member of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce. He is also a board member of the Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Ravinia Festival and Leadership Greater Chicago and is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago and The Chicago Club.
A former board member of the Illinois Baptist State Association, he is a past chairman of the Chicago Metro Baptist Association. In addition, he has completed terms as president of the Bankers Club of Chicago and chairman of the Business Advisory Council of the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Mr. Hammock earned his M.B.A. in finance from the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business and his bachelor's degree in applied mathematics from Georgia Tech. He and his wife, Cheryl, live in Chicago.
