• Best for ms control.
• Can be used with fluoride.
• Will not penetrate enamel.
• Will not suppress lactobacillus.
• Suppression will last 3-5 months.

Cervitec (vivadent)

• CHX varnish with thymol.
• Better than rinses.
• Thymol for lactobacillus control.
• 2-3 applications in 2 weeks.
• Suppression recolonization.
• Pit and fissures on molars recolonized first.
• Restorations with margin gaps may enhance recolonization.
