Do a Caries Risk and Activity
Assessment.
-If caries extends more than 1/3 of the way into the dentin, restore the lesion
and use chemotheraputics* to reduce the bacterial count.
- If no cavitation
is present, caries is active and is under 1/3 of the way into the dentin,
use a remineralization protocol
