Office Hours:  In addition to class time, I will be available before class on Tuesday and Thursday. If you can’t make it at these times, you can call me or email me to ask your question, or we can set up an appointment to meet at a time that is more convenient.  If you are having difficulty with the material, need some help with your paper or simply are interested in following up on issues raised in class, feel free to stop by. 

Grade Distribution:

The course allows for (and demands) a high level of participation.   Students should be prepared to discuss the readings in detail and to offer reasoned opinions about the material.  To this end, attendance is mandatory.  A grade penalty will be assigned to students who miss more than 2 classes.

Late penalties:  Students will be docked a full grade for each class past the due date.  Students who fail to complete any of the assignments will not be eligible to pass the course.
