Since we were once children and made judgments concerning things presented to our senses while we did not yet have the entire use of our reason, many judgments thus precipately formed prevent us from arriving at the knowledge of the truth. It seems that there is no way we can deliver ourselves from these, unless we undertake once in our lives to doubt all things in which the slightest trace of uncertainty can be found.
