{Subscription to the phil403 listserv is limited to students currently registered
in Philosophy 403 at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and official auditors.)

A listserv is an e-mail discussion group. To participate, you need to subscribe to the listserv. To join the phil403 listserv, just fill out the form below. Include the e-mail address at which you wish to receive your phil403 listserv e-mail; this needn't be your "...@uic" address. You may unsubscribe at any time.

When you send an e-mail message to the phil403 listserv, it is distributed to the entire group of phil403 subscribers. (When you use the "Reply" button to respond to an e-mail message from the listserv, it will be sent to the entire group, not just to the person who sent the message.)

Two simple guidelines will make it easier for everyone to follow the thread of a discussion. (1) If you are initiating a discussion of a particular topic, choose an appropriate Subject entry for your header. (2) When replying to a post, use the reply button. This way, if the subject of the first post on a given topic is, say, "Mackie's Theory", then all further posts will automatically have the subject "Re: Mackie's Theory". In that case, if you (temporarily) sort your e-mail by subject, all the messages on this topic will be listed together, in order by date.

To subscribe to the phil403 listserv, just fill out the form below and click on the submit button. You will receive a subscription confirmation, usually within 48 hours. After you are subscribed, you may post to the listserv by using the e-mail address phil403@uic.edu. Every message sent to that address will be sent to all subscribers. Requests to unsubscribe, or any other messages concerning listserv management, should be sent to me at edelberg@uic.edu, not to phil403@uic.edu.
