Each examination will consist of case studies (each requiring essay answers to case-related questions) plus multiple choice questions. Each examination will require approximately 2 hours for completion; students will be allotted 3 hours to finish each examination. Approximate content emphases for each exam are noted below:

Exam1 Arthritic Disorder (22 pts) + Pulmonary Diseases (22 pts) + Infectious Diseases (56 pts)
Exam2 Neurology (34 pts) + Psychiatry (33 pts) + Geriatrics (33 pts)
Exam3 Oncology (50 pts) + Pediatrics (50 pts)

The format of the cases will be similar to those of the sample cases included in the syllabus. Multiple choice questions will include 4-5 possible selections with a single answer only unless otherwise stated. The keys to each examination will be available from proctor at the examination site to be reviewed after each examination. All exams will be retained by the course coordinator and may be reviewed upon request.

Students are encouraged to complete the evaluation forms of course material that are found at the end of each section in the handout. Completed evaluation forms should be given to the proctor at the time of the examination and will be fowarded to Cathy Ami at the college of Pharmacy.
